Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) is a regenerative therapy procedure that uses cells from a patient’s bone marrow to initiate healing for a number of orthopedic conditions, including osteoarthritis and cartilage injuries.

Is BMAC FDA approved?
BMAC does not currently require FDA approval because it is not considered a drug. Dr. Verma can successfully harvest the patient’s own cells and re-inject them back into the body without complex processing or added chemicals. BMAC has the potential to help patients for long periods of time without side effects.
What is bone marrow aspiration?
A procedure in which a small sample of bone marrow is removed, usually from the hip bone, breastbone, or thigh bone. A small area of skin and the surface of the bone underneath are numbed with an anesthetic. Then, a special wide needle is pushed into the bone.
Does BMAC hurt?
While there can be some slight discomfort, most patients tolerate the procedure very well and with minimal pain. The procedure is performed after using local anesthetic. Soreness at the injection site may occur because of an inflammatory response caused by BMAC therapy.
Why are stem cell injections so expensive?
In general, stem cell treatment procedures are paid out-of-pocket by patients, because they are not covered by medical insurance.
